Why start with WordPress?
Cause we had “press” in our name? Naw, it’s because we love WordPress. There are other great platforms, but we know the WordPress community and wanted to help here first before moving on to other platforms!
How does Move That Blog work?
We take everything from your old blog, wrap it up in pretty little bows, sprinkle unicorn tears on top (don’t worry, it’s from them watching “PS: I Love You,” no unicorns were harmed in the making of this tool), and then present it to your other blog as a sacrifice. The reason this has never been done before is that nobody else had ready access to unicorn tears. We do. You’re welcome.
What other features are coming for Move That Blog?
Next up after the basic tool is a professional-level tool. If you’ve ever moved your blog and run smack into the “waiting to update DNS” issue, where comments or posts get lost, or you need to put one side in maintenance mode or close commenting… Well, that won’t be an issue. This will allow you to keep both sides live and just have the content copied back and forth automagically. We’ll also keep an offsite backup for you, cause we’re nice like that.
What do the tools cost?
Move That Blog will come in two versions. The basic “save you an hour or twelve of pain moving your blog between servers” version is $10. The “back my stuff up and add more magic” version, does syncing between installations, will be $25. In the future we’ll have packages, developer and affiliate programs, etc, so that if you need to move lots of blogs for yourself or clients, it’s even cheaper! W00T for cheaper!
